Mixed Up Colour Bugs!
The Year 1’s made their own
colours to create these gorgeous
artworks. They mixed the Primary Colours to create orange, green, purple and
brown. The background has texture made from wax crayon rubbings.
Each bug shape has been made from lines including straight, curved, wavy, dotted, dashed and spiral.
Autumn Leaves!
The Year 3’s revised the warm and cool colour groups while creating these masterpieces.
By using oil pastels they
were able to create a blended effect
with the colours in their leaves. They chose several warm colours and overlapped each as they moved from the darkest to the lightest colour.
The backgrounds were
slightly tricky as they had to continue a line behind their drawn leaf. Each
background was created using a repeated pattern
of cool colours.
Famous Portraits with a Twist!
The Year 6’s have used a portrait from a famous artist and created a reproduction
of it. They drew the image and selected their own medium to add colour, as similar to the original as they could. They were asked to include a colour mix,
tints and shades. They then created a puffy face, to slightly change the artwork, making it their own.
