Painted Beach Scene

Year 2 students have been focussing on the use of colour to create realistic beach scenes. They practised blending cool colours in wavy brush strokes for the ocean. The sand was created by sponges using the 'pat and lift' technique to give it a textured look. Once the beachscape was finished the students' added images of things you might see or do at the beach.
